GENERAL

As of September 13th, 2024, the festival will now be held at our intended location – James Madison Park (614 E Gorham St, Madison, WI 53703)

Just skipped past the front page, eh? Come to the Great Midwest Hemp Fest Saturday and Sunday, September 28th and 29th from 11am–6pm.

The Great Midwest Marijuana Harvest Protest will follow the fest on Sunday, September 29th. It begins at 4:20 and we will march down State Street toward the Capitol steps.

Follow yer nose! This year’s fest will be hip-happening at James Madison Park, located at 614 E Gorham St, Madison, WI 53703. If you put James Madison Park in your GPS, you’ll land right at the entrance. You’ll see tents, people, and music!

The park is in a residential area, so much of the parking will be street parking. Please check street signs before heading to the fest. There are 5 handicap accessible parking spots in the front of the festival grounds located at 614 E Gorham Street. Accessible spots are available at the parking garages in the area, as well.

Nope! Leave the casserole at home. We repeat… LEAVE THE CASSEROLE AT HOME. We will have local food trucks on-site for attendees to enjoy.

Of course, if you have medical reasons to bring snacks, we won’t hassle ya. And bring a water bottle!

No, but gosh darn it, it’s fer good reason! While you won’t find a beer, you can belly right up to any one of our  hemp-infused bev vendors. First timer? You’ll have the opportunity to sample a smorgasbord of midwest and national THC drinks.

Now look, we’re not doctors, but practitioners and professionals alike have advised against mixing alcohol and cannabinoids. To do right by our ma’s, we encourage you to experience those sensations separately.

Heck yeah! It ain’t a party till the folding chairs come out! And bring some blankets with your friends because this will be the end-of-summer bash you’ve been dreamin’ of.

  • We care deeply about our community – and that means everybody. The main area of the park is a cement walkway. If you’d like to plan your parking accommodations please contact us at general@rrproductions.com. There will be accessible porta potties on site. We will have a medical tent provided by the City of Madison with EMTs (this will be located near the Hemp Fest HQ tent)
  • If you would like to request a translator or other accommodations, please contact general@rrproductions.com.

Sure will! We will have a medical tent provided by the City of Madison with EMTs on site. This will be located near the Hemp Fest HQ tent.

There will be vendors selling hemp and hemp-infused products that include but are not limited to edibles, drinkables, beauty products, tinctures, salves, and hemp flower. You are welcome to bring your own hemp products to consume as well.

Now look here, pal, we know a few things to be true – if you’re 21 years or older, you can purchase hemp products and consume them at your own discretion. We won’t be huntin’ down folks making their own adult decisions, or fishin’ for problems with our festival goers. Afterall, this is a protest.

That being said, this event is on public property and The Great Midwest Hemp Festival has obtained licenses to use James Madison Park for the festival with full transparency. Nevertheless, The Great Midwest Hemp Festival is not responsible for any repercussions should one choose to combust plant matter on site.

The festival is rain or shine. Just like yer uncle who grilled steak in the middle of a blizzard for Christmas that one year, we’re prepared fer almost anything. If there is a storm forecasted, please see our social media pages fer an update on the festival’s location.

We’re not gonna cramp yer style! Photography is allowed at James Madison Park. In fact, we’ll also be filming and capturing images at the fest, so if you’re there, you’re consenting to your image being captured.

Ope! You’d lose your nose if it wasn’t attached, wouldn’t cha?! Head over to the Hemp Fest HQ for the lost and found. Grab my left mitten while yer over there!

Yes! Buy yer merch (both official festival merch and artist merch) at the Hemp Fest HQ, anytime during festival hours.
